I’ve been back from Thailand for a week now, feeling refreshed and jumping into the thick of client work again.

This week, we had a disappointment on a large, high-stakes project where we hyperfocused on one area of the project to the detriment of the others — and lost money in the process.

Now, mistakes happen, especially when everyone is rushed and overwhelmed. No one can be perfect.

But all the ‘inconsequential’ tasks that are easy to neglect really address the big questions: “Is the client getting what they asked for? Are expectations clear on all sides? What more can I do to make this project happen?”
